Mandala Dotting & Brushstroke Workshop

Join us at the magical Sacred Ground in Okato - Taranaki, for Mariana's next mandala art workshop!

If you ever wanted to have a go at mandala dotting, while intentionally creating something meaningful, with the goal of bringing more BALANCED RELATIONSHIPS into your life - here is your opportunity!

In this 6 hour hands-on workshop, Mariana will guide you through each step of the way in creating your very own 25cm mandala, including some dedicated time to practice a technique students have been eager to learn - BRUSHSTROKES!

Here is what you can expect: 

• Learn to divide the circle into 15 equal parts
• Learn to draw a Yin & Yang symbol with a compass
• Guided practice activities for dots, swooshes and brushstrokes
• Step by step guidance into creating your own mandala, calling in BALANCED RELATIONSHIPS
• A coloured step by step handout guide
• You can follow the suggested colour scheme as per event image, or you can get creative and choose your own colours
• All materials will be provided
• Ceremonial cacao, coffee, tea and snacks available
• Includes a delicious, wholesome lunch and dessert
• Experience the high energy vibration of the geodome at Sacred Ground, overlooking Mt Taranaki

In this workshop, we will focus some of our time together on practicing the 3 different techniques we will be working with, with an emphasis on practicing those beautiful, soothing and long brushstrokes. You will be guided into creating the mandala above using all 3 techniques. 

Brushstrokes can be a little bit more challenging for beginners and require practice, but they are also the most relaxing part of the process once you master the technique, adding some striking details to your painting. If after some practice exercises you feel like you would prefer to stick to only dots and swooshes for this workshop, Mariana will be there with some options for you, always providing support and step by step guidance to each person.  

We will work with the vibration of number 6, calling in balance and harmony to our close relationships.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of expertise, from complete beginners, to intermediate students wanting to dive into brushstrokes, to artists wanting to have a go at a different modality.
