Harsimran Garcha
Business Operations Specialist at HDAX Therapeutics Harsimran Garcha is a biotech professional with experience in both therapeutic startups and contract research organizations. Her work focuses on preclinical research supporting drug discovery and development programs. Through her industry experience, she brings practical insight into career pathways in biotech and the transition from academic research to industry.

Puneet Kaur Johal
Global Ambassadors Leadership and Projects Lead Puneet Kaur Johal is an Engineering student at McMaster University. With extensive experience of working in research labs and pilot scale experimental projects in the field of chemical engineering, she is currently pursuing her second degree in Manufacturing Engineering. She is the Founder of Learn A Bunch, an education equity initiative supporting students across the world, and serves as a Board Director with Lotus STEMM, where she contributes to initiatives empowering South Asian women and girls in STEM. Professionally, Puneet leads a team of over 30 individuals within Sheridan College’s Department of Strategy & Global Engagement, where she develops research-informed programming, mentors emerging leaders, and advocates for more equitable opportunities for international students. This year, her leadership was recognized through the Aecon Nuclear Future Leader Award, Accenture Inc. Scholarship, and Sheridan’s Bruno Team Leadership Award.

Neha Rohatgi
Computational Biologist, Ph.D. Dr. Neha Rohatgi is a computational biologist with over 9 years of experience working at the intersection of biology and data science, most recently at Hoffmann-La Roche. She holds a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from the University of Iceland and has lived and worked across Singapore, India, and Canada — including a role at the Genome Institute of Singapore. Her research on cancer and genomics has been published in leading scientific journals. Outside the lab, Neha is the co-founder of Mayil Coffee House in Toronto.

Laadliyan, Celebrating & Empowering Daughters is a non-profit organization that inspires South Asian girls and women of all ages to become empowered individuals through engagement, education and awareness.
- What is accessibility like at your event?
Laadliyan is committed to hosting an inclusive and accessible event for everyone. When registering, please mention if you require any accommodations.
- Is parking available at the venue?
Yes, there is free underground parking after 6:00pm at Brampton City Hall and The Rose Theatre.
- How do I get to the Laadliyan Office?
We are located in downtown Brampton at the corner of Queen Street East and Theatre Lane within The Mill (directly across from the Brampton Public Library). Our address is 60 Queen Street East, Unit 200 on the 2nd floor. A volunteer will be stationed at the front door for entry.
- Is there a dress code?
There is no strict dress code enforced. We always encourage everyone to wear whatever makes you feel your best. That said, Laadlis do love to dress up, so we recommend a smart-casual look!
- I registered but can no longer attend, what should I do?
Please send us message! Spaces are limited and we want to make sure another Laadli has the chance to join if you’re unable to attend.
