    Event description

BTHC are all up in the place once again to present another truly special dance opportunity with none other than the inimitable renegades; SEX TAGS (DJ Sotofett & DJ Fett Burger).

For over a decade these Norwegian brothers have twisted the norms of dance music production and aesthetic. Their DIY ethos, anti-consumerism message and seemingly inexhaustible quality with music and art transcended sub-cultures in their hometown of Moss. Embodying that true “Straight outta' Norway” style they quietly amassed a cult following. The forefront of their vision came with their physical format label Sex Tags Mania, which focused on releasing groundbreaking music from their extended Scandinavian family with a roster including Skatebård, Bjørn Torske and Don Papa. Then sprouted the Fett Burger run Sex Tags UFO and dub focused Amfibia, all sharing their trademark style and gritty lustre yet forming self-sufficient sonic entities.

In their own right, the brothers have created some of dance musics wildest tunes and most sought-after sounds, producing via multiple aliases on their own outputs and external labels Klasse Records, Honest Jon’s, Butter Sessions and beyond. However, the organism they form behind the turntables is second to none, weaving together an endless supply of the tightest tracks with an energy and presence that leaves no body unmoved.

We’re so pleased to bring you a night of the all-encompassing vibe machine that is Sex Tags. All night long and in the fullest effect possible, 7 hours of DJ Sotofett & DJ Fett Burger, all up in a BYO warehouse space.

BTHC and all relevant parties involved actively acknowledge the Turrbal and Yugara as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work and create. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We also humbly acknowledge and celebrate their history as our planet’s first artists, musicians and storytellers. Always was. Always will be.

BTHC strive to ally ourselves with First Nations people’s, there will be no charge to those who share heritage with this land’s aboriginal communities.

As always please respect the space and each other, dance music was forged through inclusivity and without prejudice. Let’s practice what we preach and strengthen the culture on which we are based.
