My name is Bec Cathie and I am an experienced Physiotherapist, Yoga, Meditation and Qigong Teacher based in Sunbury.

After working locally in Community Health for many years, I transitioned to establishing my own business, Embrace Holistic Physio Yoga & Meditation in 2022.

After graduating from Latrobe University as a Physiotherapist in 1993, I launched my career working in the public health sector in the acute hospital setting. I soon felt myself drawn to rehabilitation and later Community Health. I have worked in a number of settings within Australia and overseas in the UK and also as a Volunteer Home-Based Physiotherapist trainer in Bangladesh.

I have a special interest in working with adult clients with chronic conditions and pain. To a large extent this has emerged from my own personal health challenges and trauma healing journey, from which I have learnt so much.

I have extensive experience running group programs including exercise classes, Tai Chi, Hydrotherapy and Pain Management.

In more recent years I completed Yoga and Meditation teacher training and have just completed Modern Qigong Foundational Teacher training. I am continuing my studies in Qigong this year bridging into a comprehensive teacher training program.

I am currently teaching classes at Rainbow Court Community Centre in Sunbury and am passionate about making Yoga, Meditation and Qigong accessible to all.

My classes include Chair Yoga, Gentle Mat based Hatha Yoga, Mindful Movement (Yoga/Qigong) & Meditation.

I also offer workshops and programs on Zoom or face to face including Mindfulness, Meditation, Qigong, Chair Yoga and Stress Reduction.

I offer a Holistic Physio Service that aims to meet clients where they are at and support their healing journey.

I believe in a Mind-Body approach and my emphasis wherever possible, is focussing on self-management strategies and empowering clients to take an informed active approach to improving their health and well-being.
