BUDDY - Friendships workshop for girls aged 8-13
Event description
BUDDY - Friendships Workshop
Making and maintaining healthy, respectful friendships is a common challenge faced by children every day. Friendships naturally shift, evolve, and sometimes end, often in the schoolyard.
In our BUDDY workshop, we explore some common friendship issues and work with the girls to navigate these challenges. We then put these strategies into action through creative role plays and reflection exercises, giving girls the confidence to face these issues and empowering them to find solutions that work for them.
In this 3-hour workshop, we'll look at topics such as:
- What makes a healthy, respectful friendship
- Understanding behaviours that help strengthen friendships
- How to put out 'friendship fires'
- Identifying and maintaining personal boundaries
- Respecting difference and diversity in our friendships
About The Whole Heart Project
Our mission is to help girls realise that no matter who they are or where they come from, they deserve to feel supported, connected and inspired.
Our programs are designed to help girls adopt a growth mindset and develop inner confidence, giving them the strength and resilience to tackle the world as they grow into young adults.
Our unique, evidence-based programs encourage girls to develop the mindsets and skills known to reduce the risk of social and health issues including anxiety, stress, disconnection and lack of motivation and drive.
