John Cruckshank is an authentic stand up comedian who more often than not delivers the biggest laughs on the night. He is also a licensed electrician and runs his own business Redfern Electrical. In 2021 John premiered the first episode of his comedy series based on his business – ‘Redfern Electrical’. Cruckshank’s mockumentary YouTube series Redfern Electrical has proven to be a wild success. Watched worldwide with hundreds of thousands of views, fans are taken through the hilarious day in the life of Cruckshank’s electrical company. Inspired by his authentic experiences of being an electrician with dreams of stand-up, audiences have been enthralled by the blurring the lines between fiction and reality. In his celebrated stand-up specials, “Weed C**t”, “Choof Merdian”, and “Quiche Sandwhich”, he easily addresses topics ranging from politics to pop culture to Aussie worksites to relationships, all infused with his wit and charm. These specials received critical acclaim and garnered a dedicated fanbase, propelling Cruckshank into the spotlight. Since then, he has become a fixture on the Australian comedy circuit, headlining shows at renowned venues such as The Sydney Comedy Store, selling out full runs at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival, and releasing multiple specials online. Cruckshank’s live performances are a masterclass in comedic timing, as he effortlessly weaves together hilarious anecdotes and observations. In addition to his stand-up work, Cruckshank has made notable appearances on television, podcasts, and radio, earning praise for his quick wit and distinctive charm. He has been a guest on popular shows like “Tonightly with Tom Ballard“, where his comedic insights and playful banter have endeared him to audiences nationwide. He has a trick in a ‘Kitsch’ a professional skateboard film and also has his own production company attached to Redfern Electrical where he has written, directed and featured in things like viral Tooheys ads and even a surfing film for Drag Board Company plus much more to come. John has a hilarious cameo in the film “The Dancing Girl and The Balloon Man” which won the award for best short film at Sydney Film Festival in 2023 and has a role in the upcoming cult art feature film “French Girls”

Steph Broadbridge is a Sydney comedian who somehow turned a jazz vocals degree from ANU into a career making strangers laugh. That's not a pivot — that's a magic trick. She brings a perspective to stand-up that feels genuinely unlike anyone else working Sydney stages right now. Pick up a ukulele, tell raw personal stories, be relentlessly funny — Steph does all three, sometimes in the same set. Her shows go places other comedians won't. "Hot Chick/Tired Mum" at the Factory Theatre in 2021 turned heads, and "Breaking: The Musical" proved she can build an entire theatrical world from scratch using nothing but comedic instinct and sheer nerve. Fans have described her style as pitch-black humour wrapped in a warm hug, which is about as accurate as it gets — she tackles trauma, neurodiversity, and the beautiful chaos of everyday life without flinching, then makes you laugh at all of it. The facts are hard to argue with: 2019 RAW Comedy National Grand Finalist, over 300 gigs in a single year, and headline spots at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Fringe, Splendour in the Grass, and Sydney Comedy Festival 2025. A genuine fixture of the local scene, she's a familiar face at Kookaburra's Comedy and the stages that make Sydney's comedy circuit worth caring about.

Ben Kochan has been making Sydney audiences laugh for a good few years now. Back in 2019, he landed a spot in the Comedy Zone showcase at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, then immediately sold out his debut solo show "Nice Boy Seeks Kind Audience" at the Sydney Comedy Festival the same year. Not a bad start. Since then he's kept the momentum going, picking up "Best of Fest" at the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2023 and releasing his debut comedy album "Hooley Dooley What a Crowd", which has racked up tens of thousands of streams. His full comedy special "No Coffee No Workee" is also sitting on YouTube right now, free, just waiting for you. On stage, Ben does sharp observational comedy with a genuinely silly streak running underneath it — the kind of set that feels like your funniest mate somehow got really good at this. He's supported Tom Gleeson and Wil Anderson, played Splendour in the Grass and Triple J's Good Az Friday, and somehow still finds time to write for TV (ABC's "Question Everything", "Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont Spelling Bee", Channel Nine's "The Hundred with Andy Lee") and pop up on Comedy Central and ABC Comedy. Co-hosting the podcast "The Quibble Hour" with Concetta Caristo sits on top of all that, as does the moustache. For live shows, Sydney is his home turf — you'll find him popping up regularly around the city, including at Kookaburra's Comedy.

Dan Rath is a comedian who has, somehow, snuck up on everyone and become one of the most exciting names in Australian stand-up. Critics have called his style "chaotic, weird, and utterly brilliant" (The Scoop) and a blend of "genius and insanity" (The Scotsman) — and those aren't exaggerations. He tours globally via United Talent Agency, played Edinburgh Fringe 2025, and appeared on Australian TV on Guy Mont Spelling Bee. He brings stories about living in a backpackers on a bunk bed, a genuinely unhinged saga about parking ticket debt, and a car crushed by the government. What sets Dan apart is how his neurodivergent, completely offbeat brain works on stage — he will make prime numbers the funniest thing you hear all year. His 2024 special "I'm Not Doing Well Folks," released by 800 Pound Gorilla, has cracked 100,000 views on YouTube, which tracks, because the chaos translates just as well on screen as it does live. Co-hosting the podcast "Neurotic News" with Damien Power, he brings the same energy: wonderfully, reliably unhinged. The accolades reflect it — Best Newcomer at MICF 2019, the Piece of Wood Award at MICF 2023, Director's Choice at MICF 2025, and Best of the Fest at Sydney Comedy Festival 2025. His 2025 show "Tropical Depression" — rapid-fire jokes on drugs, Ubers, and everything in between — has drawn strong praise from both Chortle and The Scotsman.
