A stacked lineup of Sydney's funniest comedians 🔥
📍 Buddy's Bar, Newtown
📆 Thursday 23rd April
🕢 Doors 7pm | Show 7.30pm

Dan Rath is a comedian who has, somehow, snuck up on everyone and become one of the most exciting names in Australian stand-up. Critics have called his style "chaotic, weird, and utterly brilliant" (The Scoop) and a blend of "genius and insanity" (The Scotsman) — and those aren't exaggerations. He tours globally via United Talent Agency, played Edinburgh Fringe 2025, and appeared on Australian TV on Guy Mont Spelling Bee. He brings stories about living in a backpackers on a bunk bed, a genuinely unhinged saga about parking ticket debt, and a car crushed by the government. What sets Dan apart is how his neurodivergent, completely offbeat brain works on stage — he will make prime numbers the funniest thing you hear all year. His 2024 special "I'm Not Doing Well Folks," released by 800 Pound Gorilla, has cracked 100,000 views on YouTube, which tracks, because the chaos translates just as well on screen as it does live. Co-hosting the podcast "Neurotic News" with Damien Power, he brings the same energy: wonderfully, reliably unhinged. The accolades reflect it — Best Newcomer at MICF 2019, the Piece of Wood Award at MICF 2023, Director's Choice at MICF 2025, and Best of the Fest at Sydney Comedy Festival 2025. His 2025 show "Tropical Depression" — rapid-fire jokes on drugs, Ubers, and everything in between — has drawn strong praise from both Chortle and The Scotsman.

Tom Witcombe is a Sydney comedian and one of the most exciting voices in Australian stand-up right now. A 2021 RAW Comedy National Grand Finalist at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Tom has put in serious time at the rooms that matter: The Comedy Store, Happy Endings Comedy Club, iD Comedy Club and Kookaburra's Comedy, where he sharpened the dark, fearless writing that's now taken him to Perth Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Brisbane, Newcastle, and plenty of places in between. What sets Tom apart in the Sydney stand-up scene is his relentlessly dark humour and writing that pulls no punches — direct, fearless, and completely locked in. That's probably why he's been trusted to open for Daniel Sloss, Andrew Hamilton, and Daniel Muggleton, performers who need a very specific energy from whoever's warming up their room. Tom delivers it every time. Three full-length comedy specials speak to that consistency, including "Selfies at the 9/11 Museum", filmed at the Sydney Comedy Festival in May 2025, which racked up over 100,000 YouTube views as a self-released special and 1.2 million likes on TikTok. If you haven't caught Tom Witcombe live yet, now's the time.

Mariah Nickolas is a Sydney based comedian and self proclaimed introvert who has performed at the Comedy Store and Enmore Theatre. Her sharp witted comedy earned her a Runner Up Spot at the 2025 RAW Comedy Grand National Finals.

Joshua Khoury is the RAW National Winner 2026. He has performed his offbeat observational humour around Australia and overseas. He even made it onto daytime TV, which really thrilled his grandma, and helped to repair their relationship. "Josh, your dry humour is absolutely delightful," - Matt Doran, live on Weekend of Sunrise (not even that out of context)

Kiyanosh Sahebi is an Iranian-Australian comedian and 2024 RAW National Finalist. He has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the country.
