Come build sandcastles with us, and learn all about the ocean and coastal tides while having fun at the beach!
“Where did the beach go?!”
Have you ever wondered where the beach went after a big storm? Join us to build a beach and test the impact of coastal waves, storm surges and rising sea levels. Learn about coastal erosion, its impact on the beach, and what we can do to protect our coasts!
This interactive STEM activity is fun for the whole family - please supervise children at all times - and be prepared to get sandy and wet!
Date: Tuesday 3rd October 2023
Time: 9.30am - 11am
Location: Whitfords Nodes Park, 115 Whitfords Ave, Hillarys - look for the Perth NRM flag.
Tickets: $5 (+bf) per child. Accompanying adults are free and must also register. Tickets limited, book now to secure a spot.
All equipment and morning tea provided. Family-friendly event, children must be always supervised. Please bring your hat, water bottles, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing.
This event is delivered by Perth NRM with funding from Coastwest, and supported by the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program, City of Joondalup and the Friends of Hillarys-Kallaroo.
