    Event description

Part of the new Construction Activator Programme, this learning workshop will give tools, tips, insights, and a better understanding of what is needed to build a sustainable and thriving business in construction.

Business owners have told us they would like to hear about managing escalating costs and economic uncertainty, and how to free up more time to focus on developing their business.

There has never been a more critical time to better understand some of the things a small
business can do to relieve these mounting pressures.

Build a Thriving Construction Business is a learning workshop where you and other business owners from the construction sector will hear strategies and practical ways of addressing these challenges.

    The key topics covered include:

    Leadership
Your business depends on people, your leadership of them, your financial knowledge and skill, and
    your business growth strategies.

    Delivery
Success and profit result from good business management systems, good financial management, and
    effective sales methods.

    Workforce
Good workforce leadership and management are critical to attracting and retaining staff, and raising
the productivity and profitability of the business.

    Adaptability
The ability to adapt to change, both foreseen and unforeseen, is critical to your continued business
    stability and growth.

    Environment
Reducing waste and your carbon footprint is critical to helping address the climate crisis, however,
addressing these challenges also creates new commercial opportunities and improves profit and
    productivity.
