Build your own AI-Powered Web App - Workshop with Microsoft
The 2024 Work Trend Index Annual Report from Microsoft and LinkedIn revealed that junior candidates may have a competitive edge when applying for jobs compared to more experienced candidates.
- 71% of leaders say they’d rather hire a less experienced candidate with AI skills than a more experienced candidate without them.Â
- 77%Â of leaders say, with AI, early-in-career talent will be given greater responsibilities.
- 66% of leaders say they wouldn’t hire someone without AI skills.
In this workshop we will give you everything you need to combine the power of GPT technology with your very own web app. With no AI experience or web dev experience required, we'll give you the starter code, the understanding, and the tools that will have you talking to your own generative AI by the end of the session.

Presenters:
Renee Noble
Renee Noble is a Microsoft Cloud Advocate in the Python Cloud Advocacy team, where she works to ensure it is easy to learn and build cloud and AI tech solutions with Python. She spends her days delivering live streams, creating code samples, or speaking at workshop and conferences to help people understand what they can do next with technology.
In her spare time, Renee is a dedicated member of the education and Women in Tech communities. She is the CEO and founder of her own start-up ConnectEd Code as well as the CEO and managing director of a charity teaching thousands of girls to code through the Girls’ Programming Network. Â
Elizabeth Pappalardo
Elizabeth Pappalardo is the APAC Community Manager at Microsoft, working on community influencer programs including Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professional (MVP), Microsoft’s Regional Director (RD) and Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador (MLSA).
She’s passionate about supporting others to accelerate and grow their career by developing their technical and leadership skills. Elizabeth’s role is to support technical community leaders within these programs to help them build a sense of belonging within their own communities, share their technical expertise on the Microsoft ecosystem and show their commitment to solving real world problems. Elizabeth believes that people are at the heart of community, and it is through community that we can empower everyone to achieve more.
