Building a Compost Heap

Jenni Savigny and Brian Combridge will construct one of their renowned giant Indore compost heaps at the Farm.  This method yields high-quality compost and because it gets super hot (over 70 degrees) it knocks out unwanted seeds and also pathogens. It doesn’t need to be turned.  If you’re keen on learning this technique, register to help via the Humanitix link below.  We require up to six volunteers for the process (but more would be welcome), and it will occupy most of the day. Please bring your own lunch.  You will need to wear a hat, sunscreen, gardening gloves and covered shoes suitable for gardening.
