Event description

Join bestselling author, playwright and poet, Dominic Hoey for a crash course in all the tools you need to build a strong foundation as a writer. Over two hours, Dominic will share a host of tools and techniques he uses to write his novels and poetry. This is open to complete beginners as well as more experienced writers wanting to learn some new tricks.

Dominic Hoey is a poet, author and playwright based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. His novels Iceland and Poor People with Money were both New Zealand bestsellers, with Iceland longlisted for the 2018 Ockham Book Awards. His short story ‘1986’ won the Sunday Star-Times Short Story Award.
