Building Better Partnerships Masterclass
Description
Sold out! You can join the waitlist and we'll let you know if tickets become available.
This full-day Masterclass introduces participants to an innovative model for building effective cross-sector partnerships. Community and service organisations are under increasing pressure to do more with less and to work together to deliver results, yet most leaders receive little or no training in how to make partnerships actually work, especially when equity issues affect the relationship.
Drawing on the Partnership Brokers Association approach and an upcoming resource from Safe and Equal, the session introduces participants to the common challenges partnerships face, the principles and mindset that support equitable collaboration where there is a difference in power or approach, and practical skills for navigating complexity, honouring difference and sustaining momentum.
What we will cover:
Why partnerships sometimes fail and what helps them succeed in practice.
Power, equity and dynamics in cross-sector collaboration.
The role of trust, clarity and shared purpose.
Defining roles, responsibilities and expectations.
Practical tools for designing, establishing and sustaining partnerships.
Strategies for maintaining momentum and accountability over time.
Case studies and applied exercises to test real-world scenarios.
By the end of this Masterclass, participants will:
Understand the key principles that underpin effective and equitable partnerships.
Identify and navigate power dynamics within partnerships.
Apply practical tools to design and strengthen partnerships.
Respond constructively to conflict and complexity.
Develop strategies to sustain partnerships and deliver shared outcomes.
