    Event description

Join us on April 19th, 2024, at the University of Newcastle's Q Building for a dynamic fireside chat on the transformative journey of the Hunter region's energy sector.

Based on the number and scale of proposed renewable energy projects, the Hunter region is at the start of an unprecedented transformation of its energy sector. For the benefits of this transformation to be leveraged and distributed locally, meaningful engagement with the community is key to success. Jointly, we want to explore what this can look like for different technologies and different layers of community.

    Panelists:

    • Yannick Zapf, YZ Consulting
    • Rob Cooper, Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs at AGL Energy
    • Hedda Haugen Askland, Associate Professor at The University of Newcastle

    Moderator:

Alex Brennan, Chair of Hunter iF Limited

Engage with our panelists in a candid discussion that goes beyond theoretical concepts, providing practical insights and real-world examples. Bring your burning questions and join us for a fireside chat that aims to empower renewable energy and circular economy entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools needed to engage effectively with local communities.
