Building Communities to support positive relationships
Event description
INVITATION TO THE GOVERNING COUNCIL AND SCHOOL BOARD DISCUSSION
Building Communities to support positive relationships
As the chair of your preschool or school governing council or board, I would like to invite you to join a cross-sector discussion that follows on from the forum held in April last term.
Given the quantity of feedback from the last forum on the important role of communities in addressing issues of bullying, this discussion will focus on how we build communities that support positive relationships, dispositions, and behaviour.
In particular, the event will be designed to understand the perspectives of governing council and school board chairs, parents and carers, and students on what makes a supportive school community and opportunities to support this in practice. These perspectives will be used to inform the national Anti-Bullying Rapid Review, currently underway.
When: Tuesday, 22nd July 2025,
Time: 6.45pm registration for a 7:00pm start
Event concludes: 8:30 pm
Where: Education Development Centre, 4 Milner St, Hindmarsh, or online for country-based invitees.
RSVP by: Friday, 18th July
I will host the event, which will be facilitated by Ms Lisa-Jane O’Connor, President and CE of Educators SA.
I look forward to meeting with you to further understand your experiences and ideas.
Yours sincerely,
Hon Blair Boyer MP
