Building Community Connection and Resilience.
Event description
Join us for an inclusive, connected and fun community gathering hosted by Permaculture Matters — a space to build meaningful relationships, explore practical tools for communication, and strengthen personal and collective resilience.
Each month, our facilitators will guide us through experiential activities, listening practices, and reflective processes that help us grow deeper connection with ourselves and others, to navigate life with more ease. These sessions draw on the ethics and principles at the heart of Permaculture Matters — applied beyond the garden and into our everyday relationships, communities and inner landscapes.
What to expect
Across these two-hour gatherings, we’ll explore:
Creating and strengthening local relationships in a supportive, welcoming environment
Practical tools for listening, communication, emotional processing and collaboration
How permaculture ethics and principles can support us as people — not just gardeners
Building personal and community resilience, including conflict navigation and shared learning
Simple embodied practices that help us feel grounded, connected and resourced
The sessions are experiential, warm, and community-focused — a place to show up as you are, learn together, and build confidence in your own capacity to connect and contribute.
Facilitators
Sarah Daniel and Jen Hall will be the lead facilitators for the group. They will be assisted by others from the Permaculture Matters team, including Sarah Corbett, Sarah Messina and Sonya Forrest. We will also have guest facilitators join us for specific topics. Facilitators will be from the Permaculture Matters team, which you can view here.
