Important relationships can sometimes get messy.
Whether you're aiming to forge a deeper connection, spark meaningful conversations, or cultivate a healthier romantic relationship, these workshops led by UNSW Psychology and Wellness offer practical skills and actionable strategies.
These workshops are each designed to stand alone, so you are welcome to attend any one of them or all three.
Session 1 - The Art of Empathy and Validation: Skills to Fight the Problem-Solving Urge in Order to Connect with Others
Discover the power of empathy and validation in our engaging session focused on moving beyond quick fixes and solutions. Learn how to truly understand and support those around you by practicing active listening and validating emotions. This workshop will equip you with the skills to deepen your connections and create more meaningful interactions.
Session 2 - Breaking the Ice: How to Start Meaningful Conversations
Struggling to initiate conversations or break the ice? This fun and interactive workshop is your go-to for mastering the art of starting conversations that matter. We’ll explore creative techniques and practical tips to help you feel confident and engaging in any social setting.
Session 3 - Building Skills for Healthy Romantic Relationships
Ready to enhance your romantic relationships? This workshop will provide you with essential tools and insights to build and maintain healthy relationships by focusing on our conflict style and communication in our relationships.
