Studying in a new city or country can be an exciting adventure, but it can also be tough socially, with new people and a new cultural context – especially during COVID-19. This new course developed by the Recovery & Wellbeing College in partnership with the University of NSW and TAFE Randwick and aims to foster resilience among students transitioning to life on campus.

Learning Outcomes

Students will build skills in developing social connections on and off campus
Gain an understanding of the importance of social connections for students living away from home
Explore what it takes to overcome nerves,homesickness or loneliness to build social connections away from home.

Who can attend?

The South Eastern Sydney Recovery College is currently free of charge and this course is open to Students of the University of NSW and Randwick TAFE. International and Domestic Students are welcome to attend.

When and Where?

The course is four hours in total, split over two sessions. You should attend both sessions to get the benefits from the course

Workshop 1: Wednesday 9th June 1pm to 3pm

Workshop 2: Wednesday 16th June 1pm to 3pm
