What This Workshop Is
A structured half-day gathering for pastors and church leaders that bridges biblical theology and practical application across two areas of stewardship: how families manage what they have now, and how they steward what they leave behind.
What We Cover
A Biblical Theology of Stewardship (40 min) - The scriptural foundation for stewardship: God as owner, the believer as manager, money as a heart diagnostic, and a theology of generosity that goes beyond the tithe. Draws on the God and Money framework, including the concept of a Financial Finish Line.
Why Pastors Avoid This Conversation (15 min) - An honest look at the four most common reasons church leaders step back from stewardship leadership: the knowledge gap, fear of perception, personal insecurity, and role confusion. Each one addressed directly.
Current Stewardship in Practice (25 min) - Practical tools for current generosity: setting a lifestyle cap, giving the margin, and appreciated asset giving, which is the most underused giving tool in most congregations.
Legacy Stewardship in Practice (35 min) - Estate planning as a discipleship issue. Covers the essential documents every family needs, key decisions congregants face, charitable giving vehicles, and how to respond to the most common objections.
Equipping Your Congregation (25 min) - How to make stewardship a year-round culture rather than a campaign. Covers integration into the pastoral rhythm, referral language, and concrete next steps for each pastor.
