THE MERRINGINGI FOUNDATION presents
Bundjalung Minjungbal Art & Kulcha Day
A deadly day and night of ceremony, dance, language, music, theatre, and yarning around the fire. An adult and jarjums (kids) program with a variety of craft sessions, spear making, weaving, and jewellery making. Kultcha programs with language and bushtucker workshops, including an art exhibition in the hall featuring local Bundjalung artists. Plus live music throughout the day and night across 2 stages.

This is a fundraising event with proceeds going towards building a Minjungbal Bundjalung Healing Centre on-country, which will be a purpose-built cultural building to address trauma and mental health challenges in our community.Â
Entry is by donation: Indigenous mob free, general admin $15 recommended, $40 for a family.

The day starts with a smoking ceremony at 9.00 am and activities run through until 11.00 pm with 3 special events.
Mid Morning - Dancing with Biren Cultural Group
Early Arvo -  Dancing with Uncle Mudjai and the Kids’ Caring For Country Dancers.
Late Arvo - A theatre presentation of a work in progress of Strong Mob Theatre Project featuring Uncle Col Appo, Mitch King, Kerz Lake, and Dave Houston
