Bunurong Junior Rangers

Calling all young explorers! Come along to Westgate Park on Bunurong Country and become a Bunurong Junior Ranger for the day.

Led by Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation Rangers, this fun, hands-on experience invites young people aged 6–16 years to explore Country, discover native plants and wildlife. Learn about the importance of healthy waterways and habitats, and hear about Bunurong connections to Country.

Junior Rangers will get involved in nature walks, games, challenges and cultural learning activities. You'll discover some of the ways Bunurong people care for Country and how we can all play a part in looking after the environment.

Complete the activities and finish your adventure with your very own Bunurong Junior Ranger certificate or badge! Bring your curiosity, comfortable outdoor clothes and a sense of adventure for a fun day of exploring, learning and connecting with Country.

This event is suitable for children from 6–16 years. Our team members hold Working with Children Checks and children can attend without parental supervision, however children 10 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.
