How to grow Burgundy Mushrooms at home workshop

Join Sarah Williams for an informative workshop on how to grow King Stropharia mushroom (also known as Burgundy, Giant Burgundy and Wine Cap mushrooms).

These mushrooms grow on woodchip outdoors and are useful for anyone wanting fresh tasty home grown food. Once established they can continue to grow year after year with little input. Sarah has been growing them for over ten years!

An ex-commercial mushroom grower will also join the workshop to share his valuable knowledge.

The workshop will cover -

• The benefits of fungi on soil and ecosystems

• Health benefits of mushrooms including King Stropharia mushrooms and how to cook and store them

• How to grow the mushrooms and maintain the site for continued growth

• A hands on demonstration: site selection and preparation and establishing the mushroom spawn
