A LEADERSHIP ACTION NETWORK EVENT

It is easy to see why burnout can feel like an inevitable tax on success, or why elite performance so often seems paired with exhaustion.

But when leadership expert Nick Petrie and his team spent five years studying high-stakes professionals – from corporate executives to Navy SEALs – he found a group of outliers who bypass that trade-off. Nick calls them thrivers. He became curious about how these individuals manage to stay deeply energized, healthy, and effective under intense pressure, discovering that it comes down to a different set of strategies rather than doing less work.

With Nick launching his new book, Burn Bright, we are hosting a special open live session for our broader community. This is a chance to gather, move past generic wellness advice, and look at the actual data behind sustainable high performance.

This interactive session, brought to you in partnership with EMA, is shaped by what is happening on the ground right now. We'll look at topics like the choices thrivers make to protect their energy, how they mentally disconnect when the day is done, and how organizations can design cultures where collective productivity feels less like an uphill battle.

Come along to connect with your local peer community, challenge a few assumptions about work culture, and leave with a clear framework to help you and your people perform sustainably over the long haul.

The session will look like this:

Welcome and purpose
Intro and a chance to connect with like-minded leaders
Be Conscious: Collaborate with one another to understand the challenges and opportunities you or your team are facing
Be Curious: Via our guest speaker Nick Petrie. Gain fresh insights and perspectives about helping professionals to stay at the top of their game without sacrificing their well-being
Be Better: Reflect on the insights shared and application within your own context. Stay in touch with peers from other organisations and industries to support one another along the journey.

The Leadership Action Network has the following principles:

Benefit: Every event will provide direct benefit to every individual.
Action: We will build our success and network through doing worthwhile things, not just talking.
Accountable: We will each hold other members of the Leadership Action Network accountable to do what we say we will.
