The Cruise Pre-Season Briefing (10:00am-12:00pm)

This summer will see around 16 cruise ship visit Burnie. We want to make sure these guests see the very best that North West Tasmania has to offer and have a fantastic visitor experience.

The Burnie pre-season briefing ensures you are up to speed with the scope and logistics of the season as well as introducing the many opportunities to work with this sector to ultimately increase its economic yield.

Participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions and investigate ways to work with this sector.

Shore Excursion Workshop of Tourism Businesses & Operators (12:30-3:00pm)

This industry development workshop aims to help tourism businesses gain a deeper understanding of cruise passenger visitor profiles, distribution, and packaging for shore excursions advertised onboard cruise ships that visit Burnie. We will also deliver some practical group exercises to facilitate regional collaboration.
