Burnout Break
Description
Burnout Break is a creative escape hosted by the Write Pittsburgh Teen Council. It's a calm, relaxing, and reflective space where teens (13-18) can take a break from burnout culture. There will be optional structured workshops, as well as unstructured decompression spaces for solo rest, writing, crafts, snacks, and time to talk and meet new friends.
Burnout Break will take place at the Millvale Community Library on Saturday, May 11th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Members of the Write Pittsburgh Teen Council will be leading a Comics workshop from 1:30 - 2:30pm and an Anti-Guilt Mindset workshop from 2:30 - 3:30pm. We will have a collaborative poetry project running throughout the event, as well as materials for collages, blackout poetry, and more! Join us as we explore how teens can create rest and joy in the midst of the daily grind.
