Burnside Youth Forum 2024
Event description
Want to make a difference in the Burnside Council area? Join us at the Burnside Youth Forum 2024!
What: An interactive forum to hear from young people about what is important to them and how the City of Burnside can support them. This will be a casual event where young people can chat and work together to tell council what they want and need to make the Burnside Council area a great place for young people to live, work, study and play.
Who: All young people 12 to 25 years who live, study, work or play in the Burnside Council area are encouraged to attend the forum. We will support you to sit with people you know or who are similar in age. Parent/guardians are not encouraged to attend, but if they do will be asked to sit away from tables and not participate in the forum (exceptions can be made where necessary).
Why: Young people are valuable members of the community and have the expertise and experience we need. The forum is the final consultation to shape the development of the City of Burnside’s Youth Action Plan, which will shape how the council works with and supports young people in the community. It will also be a great opportunity to meet other young people interested in shaping the community (plus free food and door prizes!).
When: Friday 22nd March 2024 from 4pm- 6pm
Where: Glenunga Hub
The Youth Affairs Council of South Australia Inc. (YACSA) will be running the forum in partnership with the City of Burnside
and we can't wait to see you there during Youth Week 2024!
If you are not available for the forum but would like to get involved complete the Burnside Youth Survey.
