Event description

Come and join us at our beautiful sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills for a cosy book reading of 'Dogs are my family' by author Red Catherine Johns.

Red is a Romani Gypsy who has lived out in wombat country for decades. This solitary, extraordinary woman has spent her entire life rescuing animals. In her 70's, she has an exceptional life story including how rescued animals saved and created her wonderful life.

Bring a chair, your favourite cozy blanket and enjoy the reading, ukulele music, a good hot choccie or cuppa with home made cakes and be visited by the friendliest wombats in the world as they wake up from their burrows.

Join us for a lovely afternoon in nature filled with story telling, laughter, connection and wombats!

Cost is $50 per person which gives you a book signed by Red, and all cakes and beverages.

If you are interstate or international, we will have a live stream option available for you for just $15.

All proceeds go to Red's animal sanctuary ♡
