Bus Tour: Kaurna Life in Campbelltown – Choices and Decisions

Join Uncle Ivan-Tiwu Copley, a respected Peramangk and Kaurna Elder, as he shares his deep knowledge of language, history and culture. Take part in a culturally significant bus tour of the Campbelltown district, guided by Uncle Ivan-Tiwu Copley. Discover the choices and decisions that shape Kaurna culture and the enduring connection to Country.
Stops will include Pulyonna Wirra / Wadmore Park, Reconciliation walk along Karrawirra Parri / River Torrens at Linear Park adjacent to 60 The Dress Circle, Athelstone. Please note we may need to change the locations due to circumstances beyond our control but locations visited will highlight the strong connection to Kaurna culture in the Campbelltown area.
Please note:
This tour starts at Campbelltown Council Office at 10am. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early (9.45am) to allow enough time to check in and get on the bus. The bus will be departing as close to 10am as possible.
The tour will end at 12.30pm at the Library with tea, coffee and light refreshments, with the chance to chat to Uncle Ivan more.

Please note: This tour requires participants to be able to get on and off the Campbelltown Community Bus and requires a moderate level of fitness due to walking elements involved. If you have mobility requirements please fill out the checkout questions an we will be in touch or contact Jenny on 8366 9333 to discuss more. You may not be able to complete the entirety of the tour if you have mobility requirements that may impact on the walking part of the tour.
