Bus Tour of Indigenous Places and Spaces in Campbelltown (September)


Event description

Peramangk-Kaurna man and respected Elder, Uncle Ivan-Tiwu Copley will lead a bus tour exploring some of the Indigenous places and spaces in and around Campbelltown. Among other things, he will talk about living Kaurna culture and the importance of country. This is an unmissable opportunity to connect with local Kaurna heritage.

Stops will include Pulyonna Wirra / Wadmore Park, Reconciliation walk along Karrawirra Parri / River Torrens at Linear Park adjacent to 60 The Dress Circle, Athelstone. Please note we may need to change the locations due to circumstances beyond our control but locations visited will highlight the strong connection to Kaurna culture in the Campbelltown area. 

Please note: 

This tour starts at Campbelltown Council Office at 10am. Please arrive at least 15 minutes (9.45am) to allow enough time to check in and get on the bus. The bus will be departing as close to 10am as possible. 

The tour will end at 12.30pm at the Library with a light lunch to finish. The light lunch will finish by 1pm.
