Bush Adventures + YARC: Swap indoor time for nature time!

Want a say in the kind of outdoor stuff happening around Hobart? This is your chance to help shape it.

If you’re 12–25, come hang with the Bush Adventures + YARC crew at Waterworks Reserve for a session of nature, creativity, hot choccy, and planning the kinds of adventures you want to do.

Got an idea for a night walk, mountain mission, , outdoor art day, bush cooking session, photography trip, or something completely different? Bring it.

There are no boring ideas, this is a space to dream up cool nature-based activities, projects, and expeditions with others.

We’ll also be doing:

A Mini BioBlitz - use your phone to find, photograph and ID plants, animals, and fungi around the reserve. No expert knowledge needed, just curiosity.
A Clay + creative yarn session - make a native animal in clay, learn about its real-life superpowers, and chat over hot chocolate.
A “What should we do next?” ideas session - help map out some future Bush Adventures and Youth ARC activities, from outdoor missions to art, learning, and conservation projects.

Bring your phone (preferably with the iNaturalist app already installed), dress for the weather, and bring your best ideas.

Please meet outside YARC at 9am.

Our workshops at YARC have limited spots and can be quite popular. To minimise the number of people missing out, please be mindful of others and only book the number of tickets you need.
