Wearable art inspired by Country

Join Gallery Education Coordinator Mel Macaulay for a hands-on school holiday workshop inspired by current exhibition, Christopher Pease: Terra Nullius.

Young artists will start with a guided tour of the exhibition, followed by an exploration of native flora and fauna. To finish, they will design and create their own wearable bush brooch to take home.

Using cardboard, drawing materials and pattern-making techniques inspired by Noongar plants and the artworks of Christopher Pease, participants will transform an animal of their choice into a unique piece of wearable art celebrating Country, creativity and connection to place.

Event Details

Two sessions available:

Wednesday 8 July or Wednesday 15 July

10am - 12pm

Suitable for children aged 8 to 14 years

Participation is free and all materials are included.
