Bush Inventors' Club - Crawley
Event description
Bush Inventors’ Club is a space where primary aged children can experiment, create and play with natural resources in a fun after school activity.
Nature Educators and Nature Playworkers lead the clubs. They are passionate about allowing freedom of play. Opportunities are provided to learn new skills such as carpentry and knot tying as well as playing nature connection games.
A major part of the club is developing self-risk assessment skills, allowing risk taking with support in identifying hazards and body awareness.
Term Three will centre around Gever Tulley’s book ‘50 Dangerous Things’. Each week we will draw a new challenge from a bag - taking risks, exploring nature and testing boundaries. We don’t want to give away the surprises, but past challenges have involved losing one of our five senses, eating some curious foods and being brave enough to play with something very sticky! If your children have done 50 Dangerous Things with us before they can look forward to extending themselves further in old favourites, as well as brand new challenges we have added to the mix.
Please note, children must have turned 6 to attend Bush Inventors' Club.
