Bush Kinder at the Sustainability Learning Centre

Join in Monday’s Bush Kinder from 9.30 am - 11.00 am at the Sustainability Learning Centre, Mt Nelson. 

Please book tickets for all of the children who will be attending. To ensure our numbers don't get out of hand we do appreciate it if you aim to bring along just one adult per child (however one adult is welcome to bring multiple children with them!).

This is a Department for Education, Children &Young People’s - Launching into Learning session where the bush is the classroom! Children from birth to 5 years old, and their responsible adults are welcome to come along and explore the outdoors.  Spend the morning with a Teacher out on Country. We will be immersing in the bushland adjacent to the Sustainability Learning Centre at Mt Nelson. With a simple structure we move with the children as they guide us through their investigations and engagement with the bush around them.

It is important that all adults listen to and follow the instructions of the teacher at the Centre.  This ensures the safety of all involved on the day.  We will head out together, whatever the weather, so be prepared rain, snow or shine. We visits sites with ponds and into the bush on small tracks so it is important for the group to stay together and communicate well. 

Bring your morning tea, wet weather gear, sunhat, jumpers, gumboots, a change of clothes and a willingness to give getting wet and muddy a try!
