Bush Magik is a return to our grassroots & rhizomes, a festival for up to 2000 people, consisting of three dance parties across the 30th (Camp party), 31st (NYE party) & the 1st (Recovery party), our renowned Cabaret (NYE) and ‘Next Day Crooked Cabaret’ (NYD) as well as an arts & cultural program with panels, workshops & activities happening throughout. Camping is available from 27th-4th for up to 1000 people.
This year’s theme pays homage to the beauty and enchantment of this great land, while celebrating the connection between the Australian bush and the magikal forces that have shaped the landscapes of ourselves and each other as LGBTQ+ people.
This event takes place on Widjabul Wia-bal jugun in the Bundjalung Nation. Always was, always will be ❤️💛🖤

A welcome warm up for those camping on site! DJ's, drag, activities, frivolity to the maxxx - with special appearances by some Fruity favourites

A smorgasbord of light and sound: top-shelf dance music with state of the art sound & lighting design across 2 main stages (the Hive & the Den), live music in the Nest (low-sensory space), revel in the guts and glamour of our beloved cabaret and ring in the New Year with our iconic fireworks. Experience the fine culmination of our community efforts in night of maximum joy & celebration of another rotation around the sun.

A powerful arts & cultural program kicking off from 10am, with workshops, panels, activities, coffee a plenty + some moist & misty water installations - Dance all day and deep into the night with bar reopening at 4pm, and witness the crooked delights of our Next Day Cabaret.

If you're looking to stay by the beach or in the beautiful surrounding villages of the Rainbow Region, we will be running buses to get party people to and from the event safely. Bus tickets can be purchased alongside your party tickets, reserve your spot as seats are limited.

What's new this year? We're introducing the Disco Party Points system. Earning 𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙀𝙀 Disco Party Points grants you access to New Year's, Recovery, Camping, and Camp Party.
To earn 𝙏𝙒𝙊 Disco Party Points, you can: * Volunteer for a Post-Party Shift from January 1 to January 5 * Work the last Bar Shift on New Year's or Recovery.
To earn 𝙊𝙉𝙀 Disco Party Point, you can: * Work a Pre-Party Shift from December 27 to December 31 * Take a Party Shift on New Year's or Recovery.
