About the Bush Playgroup
Come and explore the wonders of nature with your little ones at our Bush Playgroup! Held outdoors in a safe and engaging natural environment, this playgroup encourages children to connect with nature, develop confidence, and build social skills through imaginative play, exploration, and sensory experiences.
Led by experienced facilitators, each session includes nature-based crafts, storytelling, free play, and guided activities that support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Families are encouraged to participate, fostering connection and community in a relaxed, supportive setting.
This playgroup is perfect for children aged 1 to 5 and their caregivers who love being outside, getting a little muddy, and learning through nature play.
What to Expect:
Nature walks, bug hunts, and seasonal scavenger hunts
Sensory play with mud, water, leaves, and sticks
Outdoor crafts and storytelling
Songs, movement, and group activities
Unstructured free play with natural elements
What to Bring:
Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, rain gear, etc.)
Sturdy shoes or gumboots
Water bottle and snacks
A change of clothes and towel (just in case!)
