Bushlarks nature playgroup is set in Wolli Creek Nature Reserve. Parents/carers attend with their children aged 2-5, who are provided a range of outdoor nature based activities to enjoy.

These may include bush walks, bush play, nature crafts, shelter building, tool use, camp fires, mud play, etc. Each session starts and finishes with structured group time to welcome and then farewell the space and the others present. During the rest of each session children and adults are encouraged to explore the space and materials provided and to follow where their interests take them.

Sessions are term based to allow time for connections to form within the groups. Sessions will occur in most weathers, with exceptions for severe winds, storms or temperatures.

Unstructured and risky play is encouraged and expected, with the understanding that play should as safe as necessary rather than as safe as possible.
