Bushlarks nature play group is set in Wolli Creek Regional Park.

Sessions run from 10am-12pm weekly during the school term (exclusive of public holidays, so Tuesday sessions will start in week 2 of the school term).

Parents/carers attend with their children aged 18 months- 5 years, who are provided a range of outdoor nature based activities to enjoy.

These may include bush walks, bush play, nature crafts, shelter building, tool use, camp fires, mud play, etc. Each session starts and finishes with structured group time to welcome and then farewell the space and the others present. During the rest of each session children and adults are encouraged to explore the space and materials provided and to follow where their interests take them.

Term enrolments are encouraged, to allow connection to build within the group and between participants and their surroundings over time. These connections are an integral part of nature play and community building.

Sessions will occur in most weathers, with exceptions for severe winds, storms or temperatures.

Unstructured and risky play is encouraged and expected, with the understanding that play should as safe as necessary rather than as safe as possible.
