Business After Hours - Monday 6 May 2024
Join us for a special event celebrating Women in STEM at North Ryde RSL.
Special guests are:
Penny Joseph, Director of Climate Resilience at Ausgrid. Penny is responsible for leading a range of programs designed to enhance the reliability, quality and security of Sydney Water’s products and services in the face of a diverse range of challenges.
Associate Professor Dr Fatemeh Salehi, Academic Lead for Sustainability Faculty of Science and Engineering at Macquarie University. Fatemah is currently a Chief Investigator at Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre, Chief Investigator at SmartCrete Cooperative Research Centre, and the Deputy Director of Macquarie Sustainable Energy Research Centre.
Dr Melina Georgousakis, a research scientist, a social entrepreneur and champion for an inclusive health and medical research sector. Melina is the founder of Franklin Women, a social enterprise which aims to create a science sector where women thrive and is currently leading the organisation as its Director.
Our facilitator for the night is the wonderful Jo Taranto. Jo is driven by a passion for empowering people to transition to where our planet needs us.
Join your hosts, North Ryde RSL, for an evening of information, networking, food, and drinks while learning how these leaders in STEM are contributing to the growth and sustainability of our local businesses and community.
