🎤 Meet the Speakers:
Nicole Couper – Customs Manager, Crane Worldwide Logistics
Nicole has worked in the International Freight industry since 1994, attaining her Customs Brokers License in 2004. Over the past three decades, she has gained extensive experience across many areas of the industry, including serving as a facilitator in the Diploma of Customs Broking at the International Trade & Logistics College (ITALC).
Currently the Customs Manager at Crane Worldwide Logistics, Nicole is also the WA State Director and Company Secretary for the International Forwarders and Customs Brokers Association of Australia (IFCBAA). She is a passionate advocate for the industry and the WA community of brokers and forwarders, with deep insights into the evolving Customs Broking environment.
Associate Professor Ferry Jie – School of Business and Law, ECU
Dr. Jie is an Associate Professor in Supply Chain and Logistics Management at ECU and Chair of the Students Appeal Committee. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), he also contributes to the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) and serves on the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) WA Committee.
Renowned for his international research leadership in supply chain and logistics management, Ferry is regularly invited as a keynote speaker and guest lecturer at conferences and symposiums across Asia, Europe, and Australia. His expertise bridges both academic and industry perspectives, offering students valuable insights into global supply chain challenges and opportunities.
Marjorie Havenstein – NMT Oceania Pty Ltd
Marjorie is a Licensed Customs Broker with 15 years of experience in international trade and logistics, including 9 years specifically as a Customs Broker. Her primary focus is helping businesses move goods smoothly across Australian borders. On a daily basis, Marjorie liaises with a range of government agencies, including the Australian Border Force and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. She is dedicated to making complex customs processes simple, efficient, and stress-free for her clients.
