Event description

Were you prepared when Cyclone Gabrielle impacted Northland?

What was your Plan B when infrastructure failed? Plan C? Plan D?

Being prepared for emergencies on your farm means you’re less likely to suffer stock and crop loss, injury, or worse.

If you want to find out how you can improve the resiliency of your farm when emergencies occur, then this workshop is for you.

The workshop will cover:

  • how to prepare an emergency plan for your house and property
  • how to plan for animal welfare before emergencies
  • tips for working with insurers
  • backup energy systems to keep the power on
  • and more!

Workshops are running in seven locations across Northland from mid-February to the end of March and are free to attend. Lunch will be provided and registering for the event is essential for catering.

This workshop will have a lucky door prize of emergency grab and go bags, valued at more than $400.

We look forward to seeing you there!
