Business Development Forum - March 2023
Event description
Business Development Forum March 2023 - International Women's Day
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our community, providing important products and services and supporting jobs growth. The Entrepreneurship Program (EP), a new offering through The Business Centre, enables small businesses to start up and grow, and existing small businesses to re-evaluate their business and make changes to improve success. The beginning of the year is an ideal time to reflect, take stock and make preparations to support the year ahead.
The Program aims to help launch 600 new businesses over the next five years through targeted support and capacity building including:
• BSB40302 Certificate IV Entrepreneurship and New Business
• Business model review and iteration
• Individual business mentoring for 12 months
• Fully funded to the tune of $14,952
Join us at the March Business Development Forum to hear how Alexandra Mangano, the creative leader of Chasing Lions drama adventures (immersive theatre, short films and children’s books) and Janie Gibson of Whale Chorus (Theater company creating original work based in Newcastle), have used the Entrepreneurship Program to help transform their passion into a flourishing business. Renowned Novocastrian and current program participant, Carol Duncan will share her experience thus far and how the program is supporting her future plans.
