Description

Business Recovery: Support for NT Businesses Affected by Recent Floods

This practical three-day workshop is designed to support NT businesses impacted by recent floods, helping you regain control, stabilise your operations, and move forward with confidence. The focus is on simple, actionable steps you can apply immediately, using clear language, real examples, and hands-on activities throughout.

Day 1 (In person and online) focuses on building both financial and operational resilience. You’ll work through immediate recovery priorities for the next 30–60 days, including managing cashflow, prioritising critical expenses, and engaging with key stakeholders such as the ATO, banks, and creditors. The sessions then shift towards longer-term rebuilding, covering profitability, pricing, practical systems, and ways to strengthen your business for the future.

From an operational perspective, you’ll explore how to get revenue flowing again, adapt your offering, and stay open for business even if your usual setup has been disrupted. The session also covers practical decision-making during recovery, including when to rebuild, pivot, or reset your business model.

The day also includes an overview of the Small Business Recovery Assistance Grant, a dedicated Q&A session, and the opportunity to begin booking tailored one-on-one support.

Days 2 and 3 are dedicated to personalised 1:1 business advisory sessions, giving you the chance to work directly with advisors on your specific situation. These sessions can focus on financial recovery, operations, or you can sign up for both, depending on your needs.
Day 2 sessions are delivered in person, while Day 3 is delivered online for businesses unable to attend physically.

Who Should Attend

These workshops are designed for business owners and key decision‑makers who are directly involved in recovering and rebuilding their business after recent events.

Attendance is recommended for:

  • Business owners, operators, or senior staff responsible for recovery decisions

  • People who have the authority to implement changes within the business

  • Staff who will lead or coordinate recovery actions, not just pass information on

  • Business support or finance staff where they are actively involved in recovery or implementation

For larger organisations, attendees should be the most appropriate person to take action, or a delegated representative who will attend the sessions and then lead recovery efforts internally.

One‑on‑one sessions are intended for the person best placed to apply the information and drive next steps within the business.
