This workshop is designed for South Australian small businesses that are passionate about making a difference. Whether you're a social enterprise, a First Nations owned business, a certified B Corp, or a small or family business looking to embed social and environmental impact into your operations - you’re warmly invited to join us.

About the Workshop

How can you build a business model that is both financially sustainable and deeply impactful? Whether you’re starting fresh or refining your approach, this workshop will help you craft a business model that aligns profit with purpose.

In this interactive session, you’ll explore Business Model Design for Good, gaining practical tools to structure your enterprise for both financial sustainability and positive social impact. We’ll break down the key elements of a social enterprise business model, including:

• Identifying the social problem you aim to address

• Developing products or services that create real impact

• Finding a paying customer base to sustain your mission

• Exploring innovative revenue models that balance profit and purpose

With guidance from the team at Collab4Good and support from peers, you’ll have the opportunity to work on your own Social Enterprise Business Model Canvas, refining or redesigning your approach in real time. Expect a highly interactive, practical session where you can test ideas, get feedback, and leave with a stronger, clearer roadmap for your business.

Facilitators

• Amy Orange - Co-Founder & Managing Director, Collab4Good. Amy is an award-winning social enterprise strategist passionate about applying commercial innovation to solve complex social challenges. She leads Collab4Good’s programs and is an Industry Fellow at Monash University in Social Enterprise. With an MBA from Flinders University and recognition as a Women in Innovation Award winner and InDaily Top 40 Under 40, Amy combines bold thinking with practical execution.

• Arianna Watson - Impact Director, Collab4Good. Arianna is a social entrepreneur and facilitator with over a decade of experience across community and international development. She manages the statewide Business for Good Program and brings deep expertise in impact strategy, facilitation and collaboration. A former Chair of the South Australian Social Enterprise Council and co-founder of Think Enough, Arianna is passionate about empowering people to drive meaningful change.

They will be joined by First Nations business expertise, bringing valuable cultural and community perspectives to the conversation.

• Tools and frameworks to structure your business model for profit and purpose

• Real-time feedback and testing of ideas with peers and facilitators

• A supportive peer environment to share ideas and learn together

• Optional in-person networking over refreshments from 12pm

• Online access via Zoom for regional participants

Eligibility & Program Info

To attend, you must:

• Hold a current ABN

• Be based in South Australia

• Be a small business (up to 20 FTE employees) or a family business

• Be ready to learn how to embed impact in your business

Participation in this workshop means you’re joining the Business for Good program. At your first event, we’ll collect a few business details to help us meet our reporting requirements. Once you’ve signed up once, future registrations will be quicker and easier.

About the Program

The Business for Good Sector Development Program 2025-27 is an initiative of the Government of South Australia’s Office for Small and Family Business and the South Australian Small Business Strategy 2023 – 2030. Delivered in partnership by the South Australian Social Enterprise Council (SASEC) and Collab4Good, the 2-year Business for Good Program will support South Australian small social enterprise businesses with key business fundamentals to strengthen their knowledge, capacity and capability to deliver social, environmental and economic outcomes for SA with long-term business sustainability and growth.
