About this workshop

A huge part of business ownership and navigating the same is the dreaded feeling of putting yourself out there, answering “so, what do you do?” in a 100 different ways and hoping someone will ask you about your products/services.

Networking doesn’t have to feel like a desperate pitch. It can be organic, values-aligned, and you can design an approach that works for you, your personality AND the results you want.

Networking isn’t perfect, because it’s relational and dependent on connection with other human beings. For business owners in Darebin operating in an interconnected local economy, the quality of your relationships can be a gamechanger for your business that grows through referral, collaboration, and genuine community connection.

If the idea of networking makes you nervous, but you know it’s what you need to do to elevate into the next chapter for your business, this one’s for you.

This workshop gets underneath the surface of networking to look at what makes people memorable, trustworthy, and worth knowing in a business context. It's practical, psychologically grounded, and designed for people who want to build real connections for sustainable growth.

What you'll learn:

  • The psychology of connection: what makes someone genuinely memorable and why trust is your most valuable business currency

  • How emotional intelligence shapes your networking, including how to read a room, listen actively, and ask questions that open real conversations

  • Identify specific blocks getting in your way, whether that's self-consciousness, fear of being pushy, or simply not knowing what to say, and practical strategies to move through them

  • How to network with integrity online and offline, across LinkedIn, social media, local business networks, community events, and referral relationships

  • How to build a simple, sustainable networking habit that fits your personality and your business without feeling forced or formulaic, to translate genuine connection into business opportunity without it feeling transactional

What you will leave with:

A personalised networking approach built around who you are and how your business grows best, clarity on what has been getting in your way, and the confidence to show up fully in the rooms and spaces that matter, online and offline, at whatever stage your business is at.
