Understanding the Role and Purpose of Latvia and UK Led International Drone Coalition to Support the Ukrainian War Effort and Australia’s Participation.
Business NSW aims to bring timely and relevant information to its members and the wider NSW business community by providing them access to important and relevant topics, experts and information they would not normally have access to.
For one of these important topics, Business NSW proposes to present an inaugural Sydney Drone Summit at its Chifley Square Conference Facility on Thursday, 28 November 2024.
The specific focus of the Summit is to engage with those either involved in or interested in the NSW Defence industry, particularly the Drone Sector.
The Summit will comprise two Sessions:
Session 1: 0900 am - 1:00 pm: Understanding the Role and Purpose of Latvia and UK Led International Drone Coalition to Support the Ukrainian War Effort and Australia’s Participation.

This session will discuss the new role of drones in warfare and their rapid evolution based on the Ukraine experience:
- ● The value of the Drone Coalition to Ukraine and the wider Western Defence community and the opportunity for the Australian Defence industry, research institutions and innovators to participate directly in support of this urgent requirement.
- ● The industry collaboration opportunity going forward that participation in the program offers
- ● The strategy and focus of existing major Defence manufacturers and innovators to adapt to this rapidly evolving environment using this International Drone Coalition participation opportunity.

Roundtable 2: Australian Industry and Innovation Focus
Capabilities of Innovators in the Defence Sector Drone Environment
Capability of Innovators not in the Defence Sector with the potential to participate in the Drone Industry end to end supply chain
The Role for Existing Defence Manufacturers in Australia to Support Australian Industry Growth
This Session is intended to promote exciting innovative capability both currently in the drone sector and those innovators with the potential to participate in the drone supply chain through the IDC
The Networking Session with enable one to one engagement between companies and interested parties.
