Business NSW Sydney Drone Summit

Runsheet for the Sydney Drone Summit 

This unique industry event will bring together leaders from defence, industry, academia and the diplomatic corps to explore cutting-edge developments in drone technology and its many applications.

A central focus of this year’s summit will be Australia’s involvement with the International Drone Coalition (IDC), led by Latvia and UK to directly support the Ukraine war effort - and Australia's participation in it.

The summit will highlight existing Australian drone capability, along with emerging Australian innovation and technology.

This event will be delivered in partnership with the, Embassy of Latvia who recognise the important contribution Australia has made and can continue to make to make to drone war fighting.

The following experts will be participating:

• Marģers Krams, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia
• Maj Gen (Rtd) Mick Ryan AM
• Dr Oleksandra Molloy, School of Science, UNSW ADFA
• Greg Tyrrell, CEO Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems
• Wing Commander Keirin Joyce, Senior Fellow ASPI

The Summit will comprise two Sessions:

Session 1: 0900 am - 1:00 pm: Understanding the Role and Purpose of Latvia and UK Led International Drone Coalition to Support the Ukrainian War Effort and Australia’s Participation.

Session 2: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Industry Roundtables

The Networking Session with enable one to one engagement between companies and interested parties.

Business NSW also proposes to offer a small technology showcase area for sponsors and innovators throughout the day
