We invite our Tamar Valley community and business operators to join us for a business focused FREE to attend workshop on Monday 30 September 2024, 5:00pm to 7:30pm 

Whether you are a new operator, an existing business looking to grow, or an aspiring entrepreneur there will be information that is suitable for all stages of business. 

This two-part event will include presentations, open question time and networking opportunity with other businesses, business advisors and Council representatives.

Support Services & Grant Writing Workshop

Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to discuss how to apply for upcoming business grants - everyone attending will receive a copy of
Kelly Brown, the Manager of the Business Tasmania service, will share how Business Tasmania help people to start, run and grow their business by offering personalised assistance, information and access to a range of services and programs from the Department of State Growth and other government agencies. The Business Tasmania team make it easier for the community to talk to government and access available support.

At the event Kelly will share grant writing tips relevant for both first timers wanting to learn how to apply for grants for the first time, and for more experienced people wanting to improve their applications.

• how to find grants you're eligible for
• upcoming grants you can apply for
• what's involved in putting together an application
• how to make your application stand out

Networking Opportunity 
6:30pm to 7:30pm

West Tamar Council representatives will join business operators for a networking opportunity to talk openly about doing business in the Tamar Valley.

  • Business Sentiment Survey update – this will be the final opportunity to complete the survey on the night

  • West Tamar Council grant program update
