Business Women Australia South Australia: Discovery Roundtable
Event description
Business Women Australia – South Australia: Discovery Roundtable
Business Women Australia (BWA) is excited to be hosting our inaugural Discovery Roundtable in Adelaide.
This gathering is designed for women who are leaders, founders, senior executives, professionals, C-suite managers, board directors, and those aspiring to board and impact roles. It will be a chance to engage in meaningful conversations about the opportunities and challenges facing South Australian businesswomen - and to shape the kind of programs, connections, and initiatives that will make the greatest impact.
The session will be facilitated by Pooi Ming, a respected Adelaide-based leader with extensive experience across finance, technology, governance, and strategy. With a career spanning senior roles in both the commercial and community sectors, she is passionate about advancing women in leadership.
Joining via Zoom to open the session will be Lyn Hawkins, National Director and Founder of Business Women Australia. Lyn is a strategist, entrepreneur, and board adviser who has built BWA into a national community of progressive leaders.
Business Women Australia brings together progressive, impact-focused commercial and community-focused women. Our work is underpinned by a commitment to the UN SDGs, fostering inclusion, advancing equality, and driving purposeful leadership.
This inaugural Adelaide Discovery Roundtable will:
Connect influential women with a shared mindset around growth, impact, and collaboration
Provide a meaningful, confidential "Chatham House" space to discuss personal experiences, insights, priorities, and aspirations.
Co-design the foundation for BWA’s South Australian initiatives in 2026 and beyond.
Be part of this exciting foundation conversation that will shape how SA women connect, lead, and grow. Your voice matters in building a vibrant, purposeful, and future-focused community.
Thanks to our venue hosts, Servcorp, for the use of their fabulous room and the delicious afternoon tea.
All attendees will be offered a tour of Servcorp and hear about their brilliant serviced offices and Virtual Office solutions.
Why a Discovery Roundtable?
Unlike a networking event, this facilitated roundtable creates a safe, structured, and engaging format where every participant will have the opportunity to contribute, if they desire. The BWA Blueprint and culture is to ensure our precious time is used in meaningful and powerful ways. Through purposeful dialogue and guided discussion, we tap into the collective wisdom of women. This format ensures diverse perspectives are heard, deeper connections are made, and the insights gathered shape the future of our local and national community. You will leave not only with new connections, but also with a sense of ownership in shaping what comes next.
About Pooi Ming Yeow
For over 20 years, Pooi Ming Yeow thrived in high-pressure corporate and startup environments — leading agile teams, launching financial products, and building innovative solutions from the ground up. She loved the challenge, the pace, and the problem-solving. But over time, a deeper question emerged: What if success isn’t just about outcomes, but about impact?
That question changed her path.
Today, Pooi Ming is an Identity & Mindset Coach — guiding women to live beyond titles, roles, and expectations. She works with women who are ready to stop measuring life by someone else’s standards and reconnect with who they truly are. Her coaching is practical and rooted in real experience — helping clients untangle self-doubt, quiet the constant overthinking, and make choices that genuinely reflect their values.
Having walked away from roles that no longer fit, Pooi Ming knows what it means to rebuild from the inside out — and she brings that lived wisdom into every conversation.
