Event description
Online: Business Women Australia Change-Leaders Café Conversation
Imagine a café table where leaders gather as peers, bringing their real challenges, opportunities, and questions to the conversation. This is the essence of the Business Women Australia Change-Leaders Café Conversation, a monthly online gathering for our Premium Leader members and selected monthly guests spanning different business sectors, professions, corporate roles, and community - to connect, reflect, and grow together.
Held on the first Tuesday of every month, this online meeting runs for 1.5 hours and is intentionally limited in size and exclusivity for a boardroom style authentic conversation. We will practice the tools of conscious leadership, speaking in the "I" language, radical listening, holding space and limiting judgement as a safe space for leadership practice and inner work.
This ensures integrity, depth, and the opportunity for each leader to contribute meaningfully.
Facilitated by BWA Advisory Board Chair - Wendy Harper - each session will be a courageous, emergent dialogue and the peer group will co-design future agenda’s. Each voice at the table adds to the richness of the exchange, surfacing what is most pressing and meaningful for leaders right now.
Together, we’ll explore:
What challenges and opportunities are surfacing in your leadership role today?
How can we, as leaders, build resilience in ourselves and our workplaces?
How do we protect people and the planet while navigating current business realities?
The guiding framework that will be utilised for these discussions is Inner Development Goals (IDGs).
The IDGs in Conversation
Wendy will share with the group, the power of the IDGs as a framework for developing the inner capacities required to lead with both power and heart - cultivating resilience, empathy, presence, and critical thinking for leading through complexity. The IDGs offer leaders a way to align personal growth with systemic transformation that also support the global sustainability goals.
Wendy will guide the group in exploring how we can unlock collaborative creativity for long-term personal and organisational sustainability with an emphasis on practical insight and peer-to-peer exchange.
Why This Matters
This monthly commitment to leadership development directly aligns with Business Women Australia’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. By embracing the IDGs and bringing awareness to the global goals, we are investing in leaders who can foster resilience, drive ethical practices, and create planet positive impact.
Our hope is that this initiative will inspire other organisations to embrace the powerful methodologies behind successful sustainability transitions - embedding change-leadership development into their ESG strategies and amplifying the ripple effects on people, planet and profit.
Why Join Us on the First Tuesday of Every Month?
This is more than a meeting or workshop - it’s a leaders’ brains trust.

If you are ready to sit at the table as a peer with Leader members of Business Women Australia, share openly, listen deeply, and grow through collective wisdom, then this monthly Change-Leaders Café Conversation is for you.
