Interested in sharing a 5-minute true story at the BuxMont story slam?
Join us for a night of captivating, true personal tales at the BuxMont Story Slam on Saturday, April 26. The theme is RENEWAL.
Prepare a 5-minute story about starting over, getting a fresh coat of paint, or finding an old friend. Tales of going down a one way street, owning your beliefs, late library books, or saying yes to something unexpected.
Be a listener or a teller. Throw your name in the hat in advance or the night of April 26. Eight lucky names will be pulled to tell a 5-minute true story...No notes or props. Ages 18 and up. Doors open at 6:30, stories start at 7 p.m.
Want to learn more about storytelling? Come to our mini workshop April 13 at noon in the library and learn some quick tips from Nancy Taylor. Nancy has told stories with The Moth, First Person Arts and Patchwork Storytelling and has practical info to share. Contact nancywtaylor@gmail.com to sign up for the workshop.
